Ekco Valve Radio Model U122 Working Rare

An ivory colored Ekco U122 radio dating from about 1950. The case features a carrying handle, speaker grilles on the front, back, and top, two tuning/volume knobs, and a MW and LW switch at the base. The carrying handle is an integral part of the molding, with conical tapered ribs in each corner for added strength. The radio is working, picking up various stations with a warm tone typical of a 1950s radio, though it does crackle and buzz a bit. The condition is good, with a couple of small cracks behind the tuning and on/off knob. Size is approximately 29cm x 24cm x 14cm.
